What are the benefits of working contract roles as a candidate?
Contract roles let you showcase your skills while assessing if the company is a good fit for you. Some employers work on a contract-to-hire model, allowing you both time to “test drive” the opportunity.
How do contracts work?
When you accept a contract with PeopleSolutions, you become a contract employee, with all payments and benefits managed by PeopleSolutions. While on contract, you’re free to pursue other opportunities and may leave at any time.For contract-to-hire positions, PeopleSolutions will handle your pay and insurance during the contract period. Upon conversion, you’ll become an employee of the client, so it’s helpful to ask your PeopleSolutions recruiter about the client’s benefits package.
When is my first pay day?
It will be the end of your second week of employment – to allow for all the paperwork to go through. After that, you will be paid every Friday.
How do benefits/healthcare work? Who are the providers?
After 90 days, PTO kicks in automatically, you will accrue 1 day a month, and then you can use that however you want (ex. 2 hours for a dentist appointment or 8 hours for a day off).
Dental Insurance offered through Anthem Dental.
Health Insurance by United Health Care.

Yes! We are still here to help advocate for you in your role.
What happens when my contract ends?
If the client is not converting you to be their full-time employee the end of the contract, PeopleSolutions will make it a top priority to find work for you when your contract ends. It is always a good idea to ask the client hiring manager what the plans are for an end date on the contract. If you have a hard date or a timeframe for the ending of the contract, report this to your recruiter so they can begin looking for other roles for you before your contract ends.
If the client is converting you, be sure to be in contact with them on their pay schedules, benefits, etc.
